Public television and radio have always been a big part of our family’s lives. We have been avid supporters and followers for decades. When we became parents, something that always brought us joy was watching “Sesame Street” and “Between the Lions” with our twin toddlers, Alisa and Zia!
Voiceovers are a crucial component of public broadcasting. They play a critical role in connecting viewers and listeners to the programming, events, and initiatives that make up the public broadcasting landscape. Some with a distinctive, authoritative voices and expert delivery, and others with a fun, engaging delivery for family content, PBS voiceovers provide an essential element of trust and credibility that sets public broadcasting apart from other media outlets. And now more than ever public media wants to engage the exponentially growing Latinx audiences nationwide, young and old. That’s where we come in.
Amador Bilingual Voiceovers understands the importance of effective communication for public TV and radio stations. That’s why we offer a wide range of bilingual services in either or both English and Spanish, designed to help them promote their programs, voice their educational programs for families, engage with their audiences, and raise funds for their operations. PBS stations nationwide call on us for voiceovers in perfect English, perfect native, neutral Latin American Spanish, and Hispanic-accented English. It all depends on the content and the audience.
Our family – Rosi (female), Brian (male) and Zia (young male and non-binary/gender-fluid) – provides bilingual voiceover and narration to PBS stations nationwide for:
- Educational narration for children and family-friendly content
- Documentary narration and character voices
- Promos for educational programming
- Pledge Drives/Fundraising
- Community engagement videos targeting the Hispanic populations
- Spanish overdubs from English content
Our promotional voiceovers are carefully crafted to help stations generate excitement and interest around their programs. Whether it’s a new show or a special event, our team can create a compelling and engaging message that will resonate with listeners and viewers alike. We’re often called upon to record interstitial announcements during fundraising specials, as well as messages of appreciation for sponsors.
We regularly record educational voiceovers for broadcast and web-based content to enhance the educational value of public TV and radio programs, providing additional context, insights, and explanations.

“If anyone is looking for voice-over talent (English and Spanish), WNET has been working with Rosi Amador, a terrific bicultural voice-over artist, for the past few years. Rosi and her bilingual family have provided narration in English and Spanish for several projects, including “Parenting Minutes,” “Nature’s American Spring Live,” and “Mission US”. Additionally, she provides translation services, and records from her studio in Boston.”
